A few life lessons I've learned recently:


When I first started working full-time, I started had this weird feeling like I had to get out of there. I thought maybe it was anxiety. Then I realized it was probably just a caffeine-high because I started slamming coffee to wake up in the morning.

Thai food and "Thai" in general isn't short for "Taiwanese".

You can't use laundry detergent as dish soap. We've almost destroyed our first dishwasher.

I don't like Thai food. Eggplant is okay.

Even though it's called "happy hour" people at bars at 5 in the afternoon aren't really the happiest people to talk to.

I can't, in fact, do a back flip when I'm inebriated.

Bondage isn't for me. But apparently Pedro is into it.

Candy Corn isn't an acceptable chaser for Beefeater.

If you put a new wooden cutting board into a dishwasher, it ceases to be new. Or functional.

Keyboards are the opposite, though. As long as you let them dry over night.

"Sugar tits" isn't an acceptable pet name.

If you use a British accent, people don't assume you're British. They assume you're an asshole.

Wow! This page has sure seen some neglect. There are probably some good reasons for that though.

My apartment's internet is down. Actually I suspect its my network card. I dunno.

I recently stopped doing college classes and started up on an internship. I've got to have at least 3 internships to graduate from my major so its about damn time I got started on them. I work about 50 hours a week creating advertisements and store-signs for a grocery chain in the Midwest. Waking up every day at 6am and putting on a tie is no way to live, especially when they still only pay you $7.50 an hour.

The fact that I'm working full time and don't have time for classes means that I'm also without student loans for the semester. This is all leading to a very poor and unhappy Foster.

ANYWAY! I'm working on some original stuff. I'm dabbling in comic-making, drawing more, etc.

I'm working on some anime-pinups to sell at the local (very local) con here.
Scott McCloud is coming to my school soon so I'll hopefully have some original comic-work to show him. I'm one of maybe 10 members of the comic and cartooning club here.
I've been collaborating with a lot of cool artists on their various projects as well. Hopefully they post them up soon.
It seems like all of my friends have bought a house or a bar or a beer-pong table that I just HAVE to paint for them. I'm channeling alot of Sam and Robert Valley whenever I do so. Naked Chicks.

Lots of cool shit is going down at Satellite Soda lately. People getting jobs, battles back up, weekly jams, etc. You should be there. Or square.. [link]
